A natural home for media, technology and creatively-minded
businesses, Creative Clyde is a flourishing and vibrant riverside
community where great ideas and creative energy flows.
In a nutshell, Creative Clyde is a business hub based on the
waterfront in Glasgow - with office space, land for commercial development,
and an entire community of creative minds to
collaborate with.
It's also a collaborative partnership involving Scottish
Enterprise, Glasgow City Council, Creative
Scotland, BBC
Scotland, University of Glasgow, Scottish Exhibition and
Conference Centre (SECC), STV, Raise the Roof Productions,
Glasgow
School of Art, Glasgow Chamber of
Commerce, Film City Glasgow and Glasgow
Science Centre.
Why the Clyde?
Glasgow's River Clyde has always played a major role in the life,
culture and heritage of Glasgow, especially during its shipbuilding
and engineering heyday when many of the world's greatest ocean
liners and steam locomotives were built.
These days it's not ships that are put together on the Clyde.
There's television, radio, music, digital technology, design and
everything in between - and we want you to be a part of it.
What's going on?
The Clyde has had a facelift in recent years. Both BBC Scotland and
STV
have relocated to Pacific Quay - adding to an impressive array
of modern buildings, smack-bang on the waterfront.
The idea today is to draw more creative businesses
and talent to the area.
You see, the people at Creative Clyde have a vision. And we're not
talking about a 'pie-in-the-sky' kind of vision.
The Creative Clyde vision is to expand on the successfully
regenerated riverfront by continuing to develop a vibrant,
colourful and inspiring riverside community for media, technology
and creatively-minded businesses to work, socialise or live. Where
originality of thought flourishes and great ideas are shared and
enjoyed. And where its unique character and buzz is renowned,
capturing the imagination of organisations throughout the UK and
internationally.
Businesses locating here couldn't have a better set of
neighbours. BBC
Scotland, STV, Capital Radio,
BIP
Solutions, SECC,
Film City
Glasgow and Glasgow School of Art's Digital
Design Studio are just a few of the major entertainment,
technology and digital organisations that are already part of
Creative Clyde.
Want to get involved?
We're looking for creative businesses to be a part of Glasgow's
waterfront. A whole variety of studios, creative suites and office
space is available for businesses looking to locate here. There's
even going to be floating office space for those who'd like a bit
of rocking motion in their working day.
We want the Clyde to be a place where people look for ideas and
inspiration. Where cool creatives can bounce ideas off one another
or collaborate on fresh, new projects.
There's space for people to live, work and play - there's also
land to be developed.
Creative Clyde has the potential to be anything you want it to
be.
