Does your company need a digital boost?

Many of those reading Creative Clyde blogs have leading edge digital skills. What support is there for those who don’t? Who can you recommend for support to businesses keen to improve their digital capabilities?

Hear from Brian Currie, the DigitalBoost Programme Manager at Business Gateway National Unit about a programme of support aiming to provide the skills and techniques needed to stay competitive.

I am Brian Currie, the Programme Manager responsible for coordinating the DigitalBoost Programme activity along with 3 Coordinators.

What is DigitalBoost I hear you ask?

DigitalBoost is a programme that’s putting small and medium businesses in touch with advanced digital advice. It’s about giving companies new opportunities to improve their technical and digital capabilities.

Having a sound understanding of how digital can work for your business is key to staying competitive.  Adopting digital methods of work can be a highly efficient and cost-effective way of communicating your message, engaging with existing and potential customers and getting a better return on your investment.

So, what does DigitalBoost offer to help you in your company’s digital journey?

DigitalBoost offers support on a range of Digital themes including: Web site management and Data Analytics, eCommerce, Digital marketing, Social media, Back office systems, Cyber resilience and much more.  The support is provided through guides, workshops and one-to-one services.  The support offered is fully funded and is available through Business Gateway.

The support starts with a Digital Health check which allows you to establish how you are doing in the digital world by giving your business a ‘digital MOT’. It shows you where your strengths and weaknesses are and suggests how your business can make improvements.  The health check will signpost you to other DigitalBoost and Business Gateway services which may be of most use to you.

The online guides are there to help your business improve its overall digital performance and covers a range of topics including digital marketing, social media and creating engaging content to name a few.  They are available for you to use at any time that’s convenient for you.

We offer half day workshops throughout Scotland so whether you are new to social media or digital marketing, or, you simply want to take your skills to the next level, we can help you broaden your expertise. Some of our latest topics include Email Marketing, Paid for online Advertising, Twitter and Hootsuite.

The DigitalBoost Health Check, online guides and workshops appear on Business Gateway’s DigitalBoost web pages at: http://www.bgateway.com/digitalboost
