What do 3D animators, professional musicians and visual effects companies have in common?

April 16, 2014

A common love for caffeine! Not to mention, they’re all part of the Creative Clyde community of media, tech-based and creatively minded organisations working in Glasgow.

To rewind slightly, if you’ve been keeping an eye on our Twitter feed in the past few weeks, you’ll have noticed our enthusiastic promotion of #ShowsYerMug – our latest competition, which asked our followers and fans to send in pictures of their tea/coffee cups to win a bounty of Creative Clyde vouchers!

Over two weeks we were flooded with pictures of weird and wonderful mugs, showcasing not only our eclectic taste in drinking vessels, but also the breadth of creative talent we have working across the city under the Creative Clyde banner. Be sure to check out our whole community on the official showcase section on our site and if you’re a business working in the creative sector – either starting out or already established in Glasgow – then make sure your own profile is on the list. It’s free and you’ll get great exposure for your company alongside some of the industry heavyweights!

Here’s just a small sample of some of the entrants and members of the community who took part in the #ShowsYerMug contest:

Equator – Not only our competition winners but also a multi-award winning full service digital agency, with offices in New York and Glasgow.

Digimania – A hugely successful 3D animation agency having worked with the likes of Disney, the BBC and even picking up a BAFTA nomination along the way.

Rage Music – the musicians of the film industry, providing sound for films Despicable Me 2, Limitless, Dredd and many, many more.

MadeBrave – We can’t forget the digital design agency who has worked with the likes of Arup, The SSE Hydro and the SECC among others!

What a fine set of creative organisations and huge talent we have working throughout the city! The variety of entrants working in Glasgow helps make us the creative community we are today, and there’s room for more…

If you can see yourself or your business working alongside some of the most prestigious creative organisations in the UK, then look no further than Glasgow! We’re a hive of activity, and fast becoming an internationally recognised hub for creative companies to set up shop.
