There's a whole host of funding available for creative industry organisations in Scotland, from public and private sector sources. Find out more about how your business can benefit.

Creative industries funding


The Innovation Fund is a package of funding projects to support Scotland's artists and practitioners, run through Creative Scotland. The funding provides support for every creative sector, but for ideas which don't quite fit in, there is also the Ideas Bank.

MEDIA Antenna Scotland - offer funding for film, television and new media companies

Cultural Enterprise Office - offers the opportunity to pitch for funding via their Starter for 6 programme

R&D Funding


R&D Grant: Scottish Enterprise's Research and Development Grant assists Scottish companies with innovative R&D.

SMART: Scotland: This grant supports technical and commercial feasibility studies and R&D projects.

R&D Tax & Credits: Two tax credit schemes exist for research support in Scotland to help both small and larger companies to create new products or services, provide jobs and find new markets.

General funding


Regional Selective Assistance - RSA is a grant which encourages businesses to undertake investment that will directly result in the creation or safeguarding of jobs in Scotland.

Scottish Investment Bank - A suite of funding for every size of businesses, including co-investment schemes to encourage private investment in early-stage Scottish companies with high-growth potential.

Venture Capital - There are a number of venture capital schemes in Scotland.

Creative Clyde is delivered in partnership with Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International, Clyde Waterfront, Glasgow City Council, Creative Scotland, BBC Scotland, University of Glasgow, SECC and private enterprises.
