Creative Clyde and Glasgow City of Science have teamed up with our pals over at GMAC Film to bring you SCI SHORTS, an annual film event for filmmakers of all abilities. SCI SHORTS is a challenge to local filmmakers, screenwriters, animators and creative producers to make their own one minute drama or documentary inspired by one of Glasgow’s many scientific innovations.
It has to be filmed on a smartphone and relate somehow to one of the following themes – satellites and space travel, the personalized medicine revolution or 3D digital visualization.
The first SCI SHORTS event is a development day, which will give you a chance to turn your idea into a fully realised short film. There’ll be a talk from three key speakers followed by a q&a.
Then all that’s left to do is make your film! Make sure you’re free on October 21 though, as that’s when you could be taking the stage to win the cash prize and see your work screened at Cineworld IMAX at Glasgow Science Centre. Visit the event page to get full details of how to submit and FAQs.
