Southside Film Festival 2012

10 May 2012

10 May 2012

The 2012 Southside Film Festival runs from 17 to 20 May and will screen a variety of films including feature films, animation, shorts, documentaries and music videos.

What makes the Southside Film Festival unique is the fact that there is no cinema in the Southside so the festival screening venues are pubs, clubs, halls, artist studios and other community venues. Which means Southsiders will be able to see films not only on their doorstep but in places where they will least expect it.

At the 2012 festival, there will be two awards - one for Best Southside Short Film and one for Best Southside Feature film.

As well as film screenings there will be a series of film related events including workshops, awards, discussions and Q&As with filmmakers and actors.

For more information and film and event listings visit the Southside Film Festival website.

Creative Clyde is delivered in partnership with Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City Council, Creative Scotland, BBC Scotland, University of Glasgow, Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), STV, Raise the Roof Productions, Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Film City Glasgow, and Glasgow Science Centre.
