Around 45 members of Glasgow’s creative community attended a special networking event organised by Arup Scotland and the Digital Design Studio and supported by Creative Clyde.
Titled 'Sonic Dreams in a Virtual World', the event included a
tour of the Arup SoundLab and DDS studios, to hear and see examples
of the leading edge work being produced by both organisations. It
also provided a great opportunity for networking and the
development of new business contacts.
Arup and DDS
are both members of the Creative Clyde community.
The event was a perfect fit with the aims of Creative Clyde,
which encourages linkages and shared experiences and contributes to
the fostering of a strong creative community in Glasgow.
David Coyne, head of business and the economy, Glasgow City
Council said, "This event was very informative, educational and
entertaining. Arup and the DDS are both great examples of
Glasgow's creative community. Through Creative Clyde, we aim
to build on those successful foundations and attract more creative
industry jobs and investment to the city."
